MLAS Rescue Update

I have given this special girl a name today.  She is now Cecilia.  She gave birth to a still born small cria.  In her mum's emaciated condition, this poor baby cria girl never stood a chance at a new life.  This is the first cria born to this group.  I had started to think that maybe they weren't pregnant and we'd get lucky if they were, we could get them into great health before any births.

 The reality of this situation hit us hard today after this sad situation.  No one really knows how hard it is until it happens.  I keep my head up, I keep smiling but inside, it hurts something awful to know someone did this cruel treatment to these wonderful animals ON PURPOSE!  Later on tonight, it set in at really how angry this made me!  How could people starve such innocent creatures, I personally, will never know!

Another photo of Cecilia.   She is available for adoption after she passes her health check ups.  Good news is that she will not be pregnant at adoption time and her health should improve quickly as she is no longer trying to support another life.. 

This sweet girl is NOW named:  Dottie Marie.  Thank You Kennedy for her new name!
